More than 1 in 6 — 13.3 million — children in the United States are growing up in poverty. As unemployment escalates and safety networks fray, World Vision and our partners are working tirelessly to meet vital needs, and to help ensure children and families have the basics they need.

World Vision is stocking our distribution centers nationwide with vital products to assist families battling the damaging effects of the economy. These essentials — such as clothing, shoes, blankets, personal care items, cleaning supplies, building materials, and health products — are being shipped daily to our partner community organizations. We are also helping organizations with technical coaching, network building, children and youth projects, and support for community-led initiatives.
