Web 2.0 and Social Networking Intern
What We Need
Acting on AIDS has a great summer internship opportunity for someone with a desire to steer the next generation of online advocacy around global poverty and injustice. We are looking for someone with experience and interest in developing programs and strategies around social networking and Web 2.0 technology, including developing applications for Facebook or other platforms and formulating strategies to create awareness and promote activism through up-and-coming communication channels on the Internet. Applicants are required to have knowledge of Javascript, HTML, AJAX, and XML. In addition, it is preferred that applicants understand Facebook API’s, PHP, SQL, and Google Open API.Internship opportunities are available over the summer at World Vision’s Seattle/Tacoma, Wash. offices. Housing assistance is available and time commitment is negotiable. Fall internship opportunities will be available in both Seattle/Tacoma and Washington, DC.
