Host "The Stigma Project" this Spring
Over the last two years, Acting on AIDS has sent speakers to campus chapels across the country to provide education about the global AIDS pandemic to you, the future leaders of the Church and society. Since students now have a much higher level of awareness, Acting on AIDS is moving from traditional chapel speakers to an unforgettable experience called the Stigma Project. Through Scripture, story, and interactive activities, students will learn and experience the effects of AIDS and stigma on a community and the hope that is found through Jesus Christ.
The Stigma Project is an interactive worship experience designed to engage hearts and minds and inspire consideration of the impact of the Gospel in a world affected by HIV and AIDS. Participants are invited to experience the effects of AIDS and stigma on a community, discover the hope that is found through Jesus Christ, and consider how they will respond.

On September 27, the Stigma Project debuted at Whitworth University. This is especially pivotal because the Whitworth University drama department wrote the drama portion of the Stigma Project. The Acting on AIDS chapter at Whitworth pulled together to organize a stellar event, with many students in attendance. At the end of the event, they gave students 10 options to respond, including getting involved in Acting on AIDS, participating in the 6,000 Challenge, and make wise choices when purchasing.
