Ways to Get Your Campus Involved

This Year's Events and Activities for Your InterVarsity Fellowship

Acting on AIDS is a movement started by Christian College students to create awareness and promote activism of the global AIDS pandemic at colleges and universities across the nation. Motivated by our faith in Jesus Christ, college students have formed a network of Acting on AIDS chapters that seeks to change hearts on campus, create awareness in communities, and advocate for those affected by the global AIDS pandemic.

Currently more than 75 InterVarsity fellowships are leading Acting on AIDS efforts on their campuses. They are demonstrating their faith by raising awareness and advocating for people affected by the global AIDS pandemic.

Day of Prayer and Advocacy is October 1

On October 1, we invite you to join in this day of prayer and advocate to God on behalf of a world that needs prayer. We ask that you use this occasion to pray for a faith movement of justice on your campus, for the U.S. government leaders, and for community leaders around the world who are working to address extreme poverty and global AIDS, malaria, and hunger.

Below is information on how your campus can participate:

Broken Bread is October 16 - order FREE supplies by Sept. 15

To commemorate World Food Day, students across the country are invited to identify, interact and intercede on behalf of those broken by the cycle of AIDS, malaria poverty and hunger. Using a simple porridge meal, true-to-life stories, discussion, prayer and advocacy, students are invited to engage their faith and respond with their hearts and through their citizenship. If you are interested in hosting Broken Bread on your campus, please sign-up by Monday, September 15, by e-mailing actingonaids@worldvision.org.
