WHAT |
As the nation remembers the life and ideals of Martin Luther King, Jr., World Vision and its Haiti relief response partners are putting his message of hope and potential for all people into action. World Vision has acquired a 90,000 sq. ft. facility through which large quantities of emergency and recovery goods will be flowing in the coming weeks and months, in partnership with Operation Hope for Haiti and a growing number of South Florida churches, including Miami Vineyard Community Church. Staff will be displaying emergency goods already in use in Haiti and why they are critically important, such as collapsible water containers, cooking sets, personal hygiene kits, food, and blankets. |

WHO |
Haitian Pastor David Augustin of Miami Vineyard Community Church will attend and share a message of hope, despite uncertainty that his family members have survived: “We need to come together and collaborate effectively to have a bigger impact in Haiti. Individual churches are doing their own small things, which is good, but that’s a small rock making a small ripple in a big ocean. We need to come together and have a much bigger impact as soon as we can, demonstrating God’s love and care.” |
