  • Over 100 volunteers in bright-colored volunteer t-shirts to load 175,000 diapers onto World Vision trucks for local distributions
  • Weyerhaeuser Headquarters 1/4 mile Glass Walkway lined with boxes of donated diapers
  • 23,000 diapers heading to Dallas to aid the youngest displaced tornado victims
  • Across the country, additional Weyerhaeuser site donations are being picked up by World Vision storehouse staffers, and distributed to the most vulnerable families

WHY: Studies show babies left too long in soiled diapers are more likely to be abused. Many U.S. families cannot afford the high cost of an adequate supply of diapers for their child (6-10 diapers per day). Food assistance programs do not cover diapers. Across the country, non-profit agencies do not have enough diapers to meet the demands of those in need.

WHEN: Tuesday, April 17 at 11a.m.

WHERE: Weyerhaeuser Corporate Headquarters Building
33663 Weyerhaeuser Way S. (west entrance)
Federal Way, WA 98003
