WHAT: | As AIDS experts from around the world gather in Washington, D.C. for the XIX International AIDS Conference, four organizations are co-hosting “The Summit on the Role of the Christian Faith in Community in Global Heath and HIV/AIDS” at Georgetown University. The event, presented by Saddleback Church, World Vision, Catholic Relief Services and Food for the Hungry, will include discussion with individuals who have hands-on experience and are high-level leaders in the U.S. government about the important role of the faith community in global health and in combating HIV/AIDS. | |

DETAILS: | The event will feature two primary panels. The first is scheduled to begin at 1:15 p.m. EDT and will address the role of the faith community in creating an AIDS-free generation. Panel two will follow at 1:50 p.m. to address the role of the faith community in leveraging HIV work for the health of the whole person. | |
