Q: In what countries does World Vision work?

A: Here's a list of nearly 100 countries in which World Vision works.

Q: How does World Vision send funds overseas?

A: Generally, funds are transferred twice a month by wire. Funds transferred in any given month reflect the dictates of our annual budget rather than actual monies received during that month. This ensures consistent support for projects even during times of slower giving. World Vision regional offices monitor the cash flow, as well as currency fluctuations which can affect World Vision's work, to make sure funds arrive as needed.

Major disasters may require an immediate response; World Vision transfers funds to the field more frequently if necessary.

Q: How can I send a memorial gift in honor of another individual?

A: Remembering a departed loved one or honoring a friend or family member through your contribution to World Vision's ministry is a wonderful way to express your love and caring.

Send your check or money order to:

World Vision

Enclose a note also including your name and address (with zip code), the name and address of the person(s) you would like an acknowledgment sent to, and the relationship between you if that is important. If you have a particular area of need that you would like to contribute toward, e.g., childcare ministry fund, relief assistance in Africa, domestic ministry in the United States, etc., please also indicate this in your note.

Q: What should I do if I receive a suspicious e-mail, purporting to come from World Vision, asking for confidential financial information?

A: World Vision, like many other charitable agencies, has been the subject of recent fraudulent attempts to obtain bank details of partners, supporters and unconnected parties.

The common theme is an e-mail communication, purporting to come from World Vision, informing the recipient that he/she has been awarded a substantial cash grant. The recipient is invited to register details with the sender in order to collect the cash sum.

World Vision does not make cash awards of this nature, and this communication is bogus. If you receive such an e-mail, please, under no circumstances register your details with the sender -- instead, either delete the e-mail or forward it, in its entirety (including header information) to emailinfo@worldvision.org.

We will do all we can to notify the appropriate authorities and follow up to try and identify the perpetrators, but unfortunately we cannot prevent such communications from being circulated.

Thank you for your support and understanding.
