Randy Strash has worked for World Vision in various capacities for over 30 years. Half of that time was spent as part of the Emergency Response team, and the other half supporting long term development in Africa. In his current role, he is responsible for coordinating fundraising support for World Vision’s Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Campaign, which seeks to raise $250 million over the next five years for WASH interventions in 16 countries in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean.

  • Prior to the WASH Campaign, Randy helped launch World Vision’s HIV and AIDS, disaster response, hunger and malaria campaigns, all now well underway. In his “spare” time, Randy has taught a number of graduate level courses at the University of Washington and Seattle University as an adjunct instructor in their schools of non-profit management. He’s a current member of the Federal Way Rotary Club, and past Board Member of the World Trade Center of Tacoma, and ACCORD (an association of Christian NGOs).

    Randy holds the Bachelor of Arts degree in Comparative Religions, and the Master’s in Public Administration from California State University, Fullerton campus (concentration in International Economic Relations). He is the son of a bush pilot, and as such had the rare experience of growing up in six countries on three continents (Mexico, France, Mali, Congo DRC, Haiti and the U.S.). Over the years he has travelled extensively on work-related business to 40-some countries in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Central America and the Caribbean.
