With 12 years of leadership experience with World Vision, Romanita Hairston leads the organization's U.S. Programs division which works in cities throughout the country. She oversees partnerships with more than 4,000 organizations as well as programs that serve some 1.7 million beneficiaries. Romanita also currently serves on the board of Urban Impact, the Center for Transforming Mission, Washington Rhinestone Club, and Renaissance Leadership Group. | ||
Romanita served as director of KIDREACH, World Vision’s elementary age intervention for urban and rural children providing family/academic support and mentoring, later becoming the Executive Director for all of World Vision’s work across Washington State. She also piloted the national launch of a long-term community-based development strategy to improve the academic, social, physical and interpersonal development of vulnerable youth.
Romanita holds two Bachelor's degrees from the University of Washington, as well as an MBA emphasizing leadership in non-governmental organizations from Eastern University of Philadelphia.
