In 2008, World Vision launched a major initiative to significantly reduce the illness and death caused by malaria by distributing long-lasting, insecticide-treated bed nets in vulnerable communities, along with prevention education, and advocating for an increase in U.S. government funding. This will allow a scale-up of existing anti-malaria programs and enhance the efforts of the global movement to combat malaria. World Vision works in 64 malaria-endemic countries, 24 of them in sub-Saharan Africa. Read more.
