Participants should arrive in the Nairobi (for East Africa) or Johannesburg (for Southern Africa) by Tuesday morning. After getting settled at the hotel, you will have the remainder of the afternoon free for rest and relaxation. In the event your flight arrives the previous evening we will book a room for you at the orientation hotel and you can pay for this upon check-out. The Vision Trip will officially begin with a welcome dinner on Tuesday.
WednesdayandThursday will be devoted to the orientation, with the afternoons free to see a bit of the city you are visiting.
On Friday morning the group will break into smaller teams and travel to a World Vision project site, with an on-site orientation that evening.
Saturday through Monday will be spent in the project communities.
On Tuesday and Wednesday at the conclusion of the project visits, teams will meet at a designated debriefing spot for an opportunity to discuss and reflect on their experience and spend some free time enjoying one last taste of the local culture and hospitality.
On Thursday, participants will return to the designated city for evening departures to the U.S. or other destinations, according to individual travel plans.

Experienced World Vision travel hosts • Nine nights in locally run, centrally located hotels or guest houses • All breakfasts, lunches, and dinners • All group transportation in and between city of arrival and project/debrief sites. Participants are responsible for their own international airfare and fees for optional activities.
