Our trips focus on learning rather than serving. Given the cultural, historical, and religious complexities of the communities we visit, this approach will help us lay a strong relational foundation with our colleagues while preparing us to discern God's direction for future involvement.
On a Pastors Vision Trip, the Senior Pastor plus one other key member of your church team will join with pastors from other U.S. churches to visit a global community impacted by poverty. The trip begins with a two-day conference, and then visits to communities where you will experience the day-to-day realities of life in a developing nation and see transformational development in action. During the final debrief you will can explore the ways your church can partner long-term with children, churches and a community in need to transform lives physically and spiritually.
Church partnership is a journey together. A journey that impacts your church as much as your partner community. This is where poverty gets personal, with a face and a name. Your church will be equipped to expand its vision and impact both.
If you are called to join a Pastor Vision Trip, it is likely because God is speaking to you about more significant global Kingdom ministry. Most pastors find that this is a humbling experience where they abandon their ideas of what they can do for God and begin to understand what God wants to do in their church through a relationship with the poorest of the poor.
Should you choose to join us on a Pastor Vision Trip, you'll be challenged to respond in the following ways:
Together we can all help turn the tide on poverty and injustice!
Meeting children in the project community | Praying with families | Learning about water projects |
