Step 5 :: Wrapping Up a Caregiver Kit Event

Ask for feedback by distributing our participant questionnaire.

Gather donations made directly to World Vision to support the Caregiver ministry. (Please convert any cash to a single check made out to World Vision.) Note: Be sure to keep the funds you raised for the kits separate from these donations; you will receive an invoice for your bulk order after your event.

Complete the Event Coordinator’s report form (page 19 in the Event Coordinator’s Guide) and Event Coordinator’s questionnaire (page 20). Remove these pages from your book (or make photocopies) and include them in the collection envelope provided.

Mail all of the above (participant questionnaires, general donations with donation forms, Event Coordinator’s report form, and Event Coordinator’s questionnaire) in the collection envelope provided.

*If you do not have a collection envelope, please send an e-mail to carekits@worldvision.org and we’ll give you the appropriate address.

Ship your completed kits following the steps below:

• Pack kits in sturdy boxes.
  • If you ordered kit items in bulk, re-use the boxes that the kit cases were originally shipped in. Each box will hold 6 kits for an approximate total weight of 42 lbs.
  • If your kit items were purchased individually, we suggest using 12”x18”x24” boxes. Each box will hold 4 kits for an approximate total weight of 30 pounds.
• Insert one copy of the shipping report form into every box.
• For shipments of 6 to 144 kits:
  • E-mail carekits@worldvision.org to request use of World Vision’s UPS account. You will receive a reply with a Web link and instructions for scheduling a pick-up. You will need to know your exact total of packed boxes and can print out your shipping labels from this site.
• For shipments of more than 144 kits:
  • E-mail worldvisioncaregiverkits@chrobinson.com or call 1.800.245.2706 and ask for the World Vision Caregiver Kit team. A representative from C.H. Robinson Worldwide will gladly take the information needed to schedule a pick-up. Please call or e-mail one week prior to your event to ensure efficient service.
  • Important: Place packed boxes on pallets and shrink-wrap them securely. Each pallet should hold about 30 bulk-ordered boxes (144 completed kits).
  • Your shipment will be sent to our distribution center in either Denver or Pittsburgh, depending on your location.
• Shipping costs If you ordered your kit contents in bulk through World Vision, the per-kit cost you will be billed for already includes shipping. Otherwise, please take a special offering or collect additional donations to help offset our shipping costs.
