Thousands of Mexican and Central American families arrive at Mexico's North Border every day. Instead of the better life they seek, parents often find themselves working 12-hour shifts at low-wage jobs, struggling to rise above poverty. Their children face deplorable living conditions, malnutrition, and a lack of access to safe water and sanitation. Few educational opportunities are available to them, and they are at a risk daily from dangers such as drug trafficking and violence.
Real Hope for a Better Future
World Vision has been partnering with the people of Mexico for more than 40 years to help address the cycle of poverty and its causes. Through the Frontera Norte initiative we are working to help improve the lives of children and families in these communities with the aim to assist them in their ability to help themselves. Our primary goals are to create sustainable social and economic growth by improving health care, economic development, training, food, and water safety, and child protection activities.
Will you join us in transforming lives?
