Sponsorship Party Testimonials



"After sponsoring my third child through World Vision, my heart ached with the desire to help even more but I could not afford it at this time. However, a few days later I randomly went on the World Vision website and came across the ways I could help. This was my answer, if I could not sponsor any more children, I could at least try and get other people aware of and willing to sponsor them.

"It was in the middle of the autumn months so I gave a "Harvest Party" inviting friends and members of my church. God was so faithful to help me accomplish this party and made sure the right people attended. The party was really fun. I wanted it to be low-key so they could look at it leisurely without any pressure. I announced the showing of the video, and after that we had dessert of homemade pumpkin and pecan pies, and freshly made cider donuts and chocolate chip cookies. This really loosened things up for discussion and gave them a chance to think about the effects of the powerful films. It did not take that long and I was surprised of how much I enjoyed it.

"Now I am hooked. There is no greater joy than helping children in need in our world, even it is one child at a time. Thank you World Vision for the opportunity to be used. I am so grateful."
