As a World Vision Child Ambassador, you'll receive all the materials you need to have a ministry that reaches the world, right from the place God has planted you.

You'll play a critical role in helping children in desperate need become sponsored by caring people in your community — people within your circle of influence. Start the next step in your ministry today by applying to become a Child Ambassador. You can have an impact through:

Your church: Through A Child is Waiting, you can give people in your church family the life-changing opportunity to sponsor children in desperate need.
Your neighborhood: Our Child Sponsorship Parties give friends and family a meaningful time together to learn about and respond to the needs of children around the world.
Your community: The Child Sponsorship Displays you set up in businesses and other community areas can help more people discover the joy of sponsorship.
Your life: As a World Vision Child Ambassador, there's no limit to what you can do with your life and your influence to help caring people sponsor children in desperate need. When you have been accepted as a Child Ambassador, you may be eligible to visit a World Vision project. To qualify, you will need to connect at least 100 children with (paid) sponsors through your individual efforts. When you find sponsors for 100 children, you may qualify for a trip to visit a project in Latin America.

The value of a trip to a World Vision project is taxable income to you. World Vision will add 35% to trip cost for taxes. The taxable income reported to you, the IRS and any other applicable taxing authority will be the value of the trip and the 35% additional that will be paid to you.
