This year, Ash Wednesday is Feb. 17. It marks the first day of Lent, a special time of reflection, study, and prayer to prepare for and honor the death and resurrection of Christ.
Consider organizing a Broken Bread hunger meal sometime during the Lenten season. By partaking in a simple meal with your community and reading stories that depict the realities of hunger, you can come together and respond with your hearts and minds.
We supply you with all of the materials you will need. Just order your free Broken Bread porridge ingredients, program guide, and story cards at our Broken Bread site. Submit your order at least two weeks before the date you plan to host your meal.
This Lenten season we also invite you to read "The Hole in Our Gospel" with your community. To complement your study, you can order daily journals or a weekly group study guide, or you can sign up to receive free daily downloads by e-mail.
Visit Gospel Quest to purchase the book, journals, study guides, and sign up for free downloads.
