World Vison, Sojourners announce first-ever Filmmaker Challenge

World Vision is pleased to announce our first Filmmaker Challenge, sponsored in partnership with Sojourners’ Mobilization to End Poverty.

The challenge Create a short video (less than 4-minutes) for YouTube that demonstrates “what you can do to end poverty.” The prize The top filmmaker will win: A free trip to Africa with World Vision to help film a project; A trip to Washington, D.C. where your winning video will premiere at the Mobilization to End Poverty, a historic gathering of Christians, April 26-29, 2009. Register today. Deadline for registration is December 17.

All participants will be able to take part in exclusive conference calls with World Vision and Sojourners filmmakers and will have access to videos of World Vision’s work around the world.

Don’t know how to make a film?

Find someone who does and work with them. Document the outstanding work you and your friends are already doing to address poverty or make an artistic film that illustrates what others can do.
