"A Call to Live"
World Vision's Lenten study invites individuals and groups to journey through the six weeks of Lent through reflection, prayer, celebration, and engagement in the ministry and life of Christ. The resource is designed for many uses:
- Self-study: for the individual wanting to experience the deeper meaning of Lent
- Small-group study: for those desiring to grow together during the season
- Family study: for a family wishing to learn and engage one another while preparing for Easter
Participants can enhance their Lenten experience by learning about the current global food crisis and engaging in activities to raise awareness and funds for hungry children and families.
Or download each weekly study separately:
"The Luxury Tax Initiative"
This activity is designed for youth groups as a kick-off to Lent season. A youth leader leads the participants through an exploration of the current global food crisis in light of the Lenten disciplines of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. The activity shows the participants that simple acts of giving and “giving up” can make a difference in the fight to end hunger.
Also included is a short Bible study on giving, which can be used to extend this activity.

In the spirit of Lent, both studies offer activities that encourage participants to "give up" in order to give. All donations will support World Vision's programs addressing the global food crisis.
