World Vision in Sudan TodayIn South Sudan Peace is slowly returning to South Sudan, following the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement. Yet the wake of a decades-long war left a destroyed infrastructure impacting children and families’ access to shelter, health care, employment, and education. As thousands of people return to their homes, they face a bleak future with few opportunities. World Vision is working to improve the circumstances for families in southern Sudan. World Vision works with communities to help facilitate change through educational training, health clinics, peacebuilding activities, livelihood work, and funding assistance. Working alongside communities both enables and encourages community members to take control of their futures through their own efforts. South Sudan’s road to recovery has begun, and World Vision is determined to help the Sudanese people find hope through peace and stability.
