How do I apply for a volunteer position?

Office volunteer positions are typically onsite at our headquarters in Federal Way, Washington.

Occasionally, other offices may have positions available.

What skills do I need?

We recommend basic computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office, online research, email, etc), but it is not a requirement.

What types of volunteer jobs do you offer?

World Vision office volunteers help us with:

  • Assembling mailings/packets
  • Data entry
  • Filing
  • Handwriting thank-you cards
  • Other general office tasks

Not interested in volunteering in an office environment? Volunteer at one of World Vision's warehouses or distribution centers to get supplies and donations ready for the field

How many hours are required?

We will work with you to create a schedule that fits your lifestyle! All we ask is that you commit a minimum of 4 hours a week for 3 months.

Does World Vision offer job shadowing and mentoring for volunteers?

No.

Does World Vision hire volunteers?

World Vision does not hire volunteers directly. If there is an open position that matches your skill set, feel free to apply using our Careers page. You can also visit Volt.com if you are interested in applying for a temporary position.

Do you send volunteers overseas?

World Vision does not send volunteers or interns overseas. We recruit qualified local volunteers to serve in their own communities.

What is the Apostles’ Creed? Why is it important?

As the foundation for all World Vision does, the Christian faith unites our staff and volunteers.  We ask that all employees and volunteers agree with and sign the Statement of Faith or the Apostles’ Creed before coming to work for us.
