More About Adam and Christine

Adam and Christine’s Biography

Adam and Christine Jeske share lessons from faithful people in hard places about how we can live rightly here in the U.S. They've worked in microfinance, refugee resettlement, development, and holistic missions, all with two kids.

Their journeys have taken them from Wisconsin to Nicaragua, China, South Africa, and back. Together, they authored This Ordinary Adventure: Settling Down Without Settling and write about faith for Relevant magazine.

Between the two of them, they teach about economic development, study cultural anthropology, train people in how to use social media for good, inspire people to join in God’s mission, and do their best to live amazing days.

As a World Vision partner, Chrissy wrote a Bible study for World Vision ACT:S on the topic, “Beyond Justice: Living an Active Faith.” Adam first volunteered with World Vision as a high school student, participating in the 30 Hour Famine, and helped with building 16,000 World Vision Caregiver Kits as he served on the 2012 Urbana leadership team.

The Jeskes have spoken to audiences of three to thousands and bring with them the strength of speaking together as a couple or as individuals. Topics include:

  • Real-life stories from people in hard places
  • Insights from hard places for North Americans, with practical next steps
  • Practical discipleship
  • Personal risk
  • Intercultural communication
  • Generational shifts in the Church
  • Effective use of social media for good
  • Global poverty
  • Microfinance
  • HIV and AIDS
  • Women’s issues
  • Stewardship

While at the University of Wisconsin, Adam earned a bachelor of arts in Spanish with a minor in religious studies, while Christine earned bachelor’s degrees in English literature and piano. Both received MBAs in international economic development from Eastern University. Christine is also currently pursuing a Ph.D. in cultural anthropology at the University of Wisconsin.
