Step 2) Decide how much you would like to try to raise for World Vision Appalachia and for what category of World Vision’s work.
*The suggested category is “where most needed,” but you can also run for children and youth programs, the Storehouse, missions and leadership development, or new initiatives.
Step 3) Register for Team World Vision. Follow the directions on each page to set up your own unique race website.
If you chose a category other than “where most needed,” replace the dollar handles text with one of the following:
| Children and Youth: |
 | $30 can provide healthy snacks for children in an after school literacy program |
| $50 can send a youth on a retreat |
| $100 can provide transportation costs for twelve children to attend literacy programs |
| $360 can send a youth on a missions trip |
| $500 can sponsor a field trip for a summer literacy program |
| $1000 can purchase and upgrade computers in a lab used by twenty children |

| The Storehouse: |
| $30 can purchase a backpack full of school supplies for an under-resourced child |
| $50 can provide a year’s worth of teaching supplies for a local educator |
| $100 can provide resources for a health and wellness fair at the Storehouse |
| $360 can provide medical supplies for ten people |
| $500 can pay for the transportation of a truck of supplies to help hundreds of families |
| $1000 can provide for the needs of a family who has lost everything in a disaster |

| Missions and Leadership Development |
| $30 can paint two bedrooms for an under-resourced family |
| $50 can provide fasteners and hardware for missions work on five homes |
| $100 can provide a year’s worth of training for an under-resourced pastor |
| $360 can purchase a specialized construction tool for use with hundreds of families |
| $500 can provide a pastor’s toolbox of study aids for under-resourced pastors |
| $1000 can pay for a community-wide outreach event |

| New Initiatives |
| $30 can help a new family join a Time Bank |
| $50 can provide the transportation costs for a Time Bank community mobilizer |
| $100 can provide resources for a health and wellness fair |
| $360 can provide mentoring to a local family |
| $500 can sponsor a community outreach event for a local Time Bank |
| $1000 can purchase or upgrade computers for a local Time Bank |
Step 4) Once your unique race web page is complete send the link to your friends, family members, and work associates and meet your goal!
