Please Pray … |
- FOR the health of workers whose income provides food, health care, and education for their families.
- FOR medical treatment and support for Africa's work force infected by HIV and AIDS. The International Labor Organization (ILO) estimates that by 2020, nearly 61 million African workers will have died or will be unable to work due to AIDS.
- FOR the economic growth of AIDS-affected countries, which impacts the quality of life of current and future generations. An ILO study of 31 African countries showed that by 2015, the countries will have lost $150 billion due to AIDS-related impacts.
- FOR strength and good health of World Vision staff, despite losses and difficulties within their own families because of the AIDS pandemic.
- THAT HIV- and AIDS-infected workers would not experience discrimination or stigmatization in the workplace.
