Home > Get Involved > Welcome to World Vision in Chicago Chicago youth improve their school During an after-school art program led by AmeriCorps volunteers, students from the school designed a mural for an outside wall of their school building. Mikae’la, a 6th grader in the art club said, “I wanted to do things that gave kids something more meaningful to look at.” Tori, one of the program leaders, said, “This is their project. They designed it. They’re making an impact on their own neighborhood.” Part of the mission of The Storehouse of World Vision is to rehabilitate community facilities. The Dvorak School mural is just one example of how The Storehouse is helping youth step up to take leadership in improving their communities. |
