The Famine isn’t just a weekend event. It’s about helping save the lives of hungry children around the world. Fundraising is a key aspect of the 30 Hour Famine. Your students will be motivated by your enthusiasm. They’re going to need your help to meet their fundraising goals.

Corporate Buddies
You can work with a corporation to partner with your youth to Starve Hunger worldwide! It's easy, work with us to find the best partnership, meeting your needs and the goals of your Famine youth. Multiply the impact of their fundraising efforts and make a difference. Find out more!
Firstgiving
Now your Famine group can raise funds from friends and family around the country!! World Vision-New York has already created a personal fundraising page for you - all you need to do is tell your group about it! Check it out and find your group!
Make Individual Goals
Every dollar counts. Just $1 can provide a child food and basic necessities for a day. Asking a sponsor for $30 feeds a child for a month. Getting just 12 sponsors at that amount cares for a needy child for a full year. (For detailed ideas about finding sponsors, see the Student Guide.)
Because it really can be a matter of life and death, they need to take their goal seriously.
As an extra incentive, remind them of the individual and group rewards they can receive for fundraising.
Set a Group Goal
Sponsors aren’t the only way to raise money. Group efforts like car washes, work days paid for by church members, etc., can also pay off.
