Prepared for unexpected needs: emergency response program
Our Emergency Response Program provides relief supplies needed in times of natural or civil disaster. Products include blankets, medical supplies, latex gloves, and Family Essential Kits. Led by Tim Bomgardner, our Storehouse Programs Manager, the New York Programs staff works with local government offices and emergency response committees to match available resources to the needs of disaster survivors.
The Storehouse actively solicits corporate partners to donate new products for disaster response. Our local partnerships allow us to identify gaps in assistance to victims of both small-scale and major emergencies and address their unmet needs. Police and fire departments in the Bronx know that World Vision is always ready to assist community members with special concerns. Our unique work allows us to be the bridge between companies with products to donate and the most vulnerable members of our community.
Here's what your donation can do:
- $100 – Provides a Family Essentials Kit for five families, meeting their immediate needs for four days.
- $350 – Provides emergency preparedness training for 10-15 community partners.
- $1,500 - Provides a family of four with “back on your feet” essentials such as clothing, furniture, and building materials.
