Together we can bring lasting change to the Bronx
World Vision’s New York Programs partner with community-based organizations, churches, and civic institutions in the Bronx to build a rich network of opportunities that will enable children to overcome the devastating effects of poverty. We focus on youth and leadership development, providing essential supplies to families in need, and connecting community resources.
Children on the edge in the Bronx
Drugs, crime, social injustice, poor education, and a lack of access to health care are locking families in a cycle of poverty and undermining community foundations.
The Bronx has the:
- Highest percentage of people in the U.S. living below the poverty level
- Lowest median household income in America
- Highest concentration of children in NYC
- More children living with AIDS than 48 states
