The Storehouse - The Teachers' Resource Center

The Teachers' Resource Center

The Teachers' Resource Center distributes donated school and art supplies to teachers of New York City’s Title I public schools. Materials are provided by large manufacturers of office supplies and educational resources and local businesses. Teachers from qualifying schools are invited to “shop” at The Storehouse up to three times per year for student supplies and classroom resources. In this past year the Storehouse distributed over $700,000 dollars (retail value) of product to New York City teachers, benefiting 37,000 school children.

The Teachers' Resource Center is a gift to these teachers, who often try to provide supplies for their students by spending hundreds of dollars from their own pockets each year.
