6000 reasons to ACT. . .

. . .and each has a name

Two boys that have names

Today, like every day, 6000 children will lose a parent to AIDS. Yet there is hope when there is a heart to care. World Vision offers meaningful ways around the world and right here in Southern California for you to make a difference for children in need.

Can you survive the journey of a child?

Come and visit the The World Vision Experience: AIDS, a 2,500-square-foot interactive exhibit where visitors step into Africa and experience life as a child affected by AIDS. The Experience takes the participant on a deeply personal journey into the life of a young person who has lost one or both parents to AIDS. It features a stirring audio tour combined with captivating photography that will transport the viewer into the heart of Africa. It is free and open to the public. The exhibit is open daily. Parental discretion is advised for children under the age of 12 because of the sensitivity of the material.

Water is life! But for the nearly 56,000 people of Kenya’s Kirindon region, the only water sources are dirty rivers and mud holes. Every day the women and children of Kirindon spend hours fetching the disease-ridden water so desperately needed to sustain life. But for many of the children, drinking the contaminated water leads to disease, suffering and even death. You can get involved with World Vision right here to bring the hope and health of clean water to thousands of children and their families by attending the Father’s House event in San Diego. World Vision’s long-term community development approach will provide a borehole, sanitation, health education, and capacity building to ensure that the children have Water for Life!
