What you can do

Contact your members of Congress. Voice your support for the reauthorization of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act — the cornerstone of U.S. policies to fight modern-day slavery. Because Congress did not renew the bill before it expired in September 2011, U.S. anti-trafficking efforts are essentially on hold until the law is reauthorized.

Encourage your legislators to reauthorize this legislation immediately so that the United States can remain a global leader in the fight against human trafficking.
