Intolerance has fueled many of the world’s conflicts and prevented the mutual understanding that brings peace. The right of all people to believe and to act on their beliefs through full participation in society is fundamental to human well-being. World Vision affirms the dignity and worth of every human being as celebrated in the Christian tradition and recognized in fundamental international documents such as the UN Declaration on Human Rights and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
