|||About 1.7 billion people do not have clean water. One billion lack the 25 liters per day for a survival level of drinking water, sanitation, and food preparation. In the developing world, contaminated water accounts for 80 percent of all disease and claims the lives of 5 million children a year. Investment in wells, tanks, pipes, water-purifying systems, and reduction of wasted water could secure sufficient clean water for all.|||
Tsepang Kume

Tsepang Kume smiles as she collects water from a tap. The project where she lives, the Mothebesoane Community Development Project, in rural Lesotho closed on schedule last September. Closing the project was a time to celebrate all the accomplishments and all the changes that have occurred in the hearts and minds of community members as a result of their Christ-led partnership with World Vision.
