History of Caring

TEN YEARS OF SUCCESS!
Celebrating 10 Successful Years of Serving Our World's Children Through Network of Caring

For more than a decade, Network 21’s humanitarian arm Network of Caring has been a partner with World Vision in touching the fragile lives of some of our world’s neediest children and families.

Network 21’s IBOs, caring people like you, have already donated more than $12 million to help over 45,000 children in places such as Uganda, Turkey, Ethiopia, South Africa, Kosovo, India and the Philippines, with our next major response to be the country of Romania, where thousands of children continue to cling to survival in that Nation’s orphanages and families.

From the very beginning, the Dornans and Andrews have insisted that this mission of compassion would be designed to bring immediate physical relief to needy children and families, as well as provide the necessary spiritual and emotional tools to help them grow and develop to their full potential. We have done this . . .but there is still so much we must do to touch the lives of children in need.

Network of Caring child sponsors, made up of thousands of IBOs, have worked together to provide child sponsorships and other generous contributions for the welfare of needy children and their families, making this project the largest corporate response ever.

IBOs through Network 21 in Australia, Canada, Europe, New Zealand, Philippines, South Africa, Turkey, and the United States generously fund network of Caring. We in Network of Caring thank you for your continued compassionate support.

YOUR DOLLARS AND COMPASSION CONTINUE TO TOUCH THE LIVES OF PEOPLE IN MANY NATIONS –THROUGH NETWORK OF CARING’S RELATIONSHIP WITH WORLD VISION

Through the assistance of World Vision, you have helped provide immunizations, health education, spiritual guidance, food supplements, agricultural supplies and tools and 15 schools, benefiting approximately 20,000 children in Masaka and Rakai, Uganda; Pune, India; and Saatusa, Ethiopia alone.

Thank you for your incredible generosity. But that is just the beginning . . .

Ethiopia
This is where Network of Caring began. In the early 1990s, a few caring N21 Associates saw firsthand the immense problem of famine that was sweeping that nation (a problem that, unfortunately, is resurfacing again today), and set out to help meet the needs of desperate children and their families. From that small but vital beginning has come an organization of colleagues like you that now sponsors more than 10,000 children, and has raised more than $US12 million to help make this world a better place for children in such physical and spiritual need. Thank you.

Uganda
For several years now you have helped us provide education for children, build schools, encourage spiritual development in children and families, assist birth attendants, train health workers, develop microenterprises, and sponsor hundreds of needy children throughout this needy nation. Thank you.

India
Because of your caring, some 45,245 people living in poor communities in Pune have received loving assistance through the Network of Caring/World Vision partnership. You have helped us initiate nutrition projects, organize health clinics, start small, local businesses to help people become self-sufficient, and provide AIDS awareness seminars. To date, you have helped to bring health, hope and healing to hundreds of children through our child sponsorship program with World Vision. Thank you.

Turkey
When the devastating earthquake struck the nation of Turkey on August 17, 1999, you reached out in compassion to your suffering and dying brothers and sisters there. Your love totaled more than US$60,000 for the distribution of emergency relief supplies for thousands of earthquake victims. Thank you.

Albania/Kosovo
You touched the lives of thousands of Kosovar refugees in Albania when you contributed more than US$30,000 to help sponsor the Elbasan refugee center. You provided hygiene packs, baby kits, and helped repair roofs damaged by the terrible weapons of war. Thank you.

South Africa
When Bob Andrews challenged the South African leadership of N21 to help make an impact on the lives of children in their own country, those leaders caught the vision and moved forward with thousands of our N21 associates there. Soon after, Jim and Nancy Dornan visited the selected site in the Township of Soweto where Network of Caring has since identified 1000 children who need every kind of physical assistance imaginable. Today, our colleagues and friends in N21 South Africa are sponsoring hundreds of needy children. Thank you.

Still opportunities to touch needy lives . . .
If you have not yet sponsored a child through World Vision, we hope you will do itnow by clicking here. We also ask you to continue to continue to visit this Web site for information about your next opportunity to reach out to needy children and families — this time in the beleaguered nation of Romania — where the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of thousands of children and their parents are beyond belief. This new outreach program is now in place, and ready for your compassionate response.

Thank you again for caring, for loving, and for looking beyond your own needs as you continue to share of yourself with needy children and families of our world.
