children in Zambia.
- By 2010, an estimated 43 million children worldwide will have been orphaned by AIDS.
- 87,000 Zambian children under age 15 are infected with HIV/AIDS.
- Approximately half of the 75,000-90,000 street children in Zambia are orphans.
