Annual Report 1999

"For 50 years World Vision has been admired for its humanitarian assistance in many of the most difficult situations around the globe. Your commitment to restoring dignity and hope to families has improved the lives of millions of people including the children. Congratulations on your 50th Anniversary."
Former President George Bush

"For the past 50 years I have had the opportunity to see World Vision grow from one man's vision, my friend Bob Pierce, to a global ministry reaching out to people in 88 countries. My prayer for World Vision, its staff, and their donors is for their continued commitment to serving children and families in the name of Jesus Christ."
Reverend Billy Graham
Billy Graham Ministries

"World Vision's commitment to serve suffering people around the world is most commendable. On several occasions, Habitat for Humanity International has partnered with World Vision in communities where both organizations have a presence. Together, our work bears witness to the love of God for people in need. Congratulations, World Vision, on 50 years of serving the poor in the name of Christ."
Millard Fuller
Founder and President of Habitat for Humanity

"War, poverty, and disease have robbed millions of children of the experience of being a child. In my travels around the world, some of these smallest victims are forced to grow up alone or with extended family members. Organizations like World Vision can make the difference between life or death by providing the safety net for these vulnerable children and their families."
