Many children throughout southern Africa are caught in the death-grip of starvation and hunger-related diseases. I believe that God is calling us to do everything we possibly can to save their lives.
World Vision's staff tell of little girls begging for food from mothers who have nothing to give them and little boys barely clinging to life -- their ribs clearly visible through their ragged clothing.
The good news is that in the midst of such suffering, the U.S. government has awarded us $87 million in grants, and a tremendous opportunity to save lives. Because your gift will be combined with grant funds, it will send 7 times its value in food to save and sustain children and families in African countries -- including Mozambique, Malawi and Zambia.
