World Vision Yugoslavia Communications Officer Rod Curtis met Albin, 7, in the shattered and largely deserted village of Semetishte, 60 kilometers west of the provincial capital, Pristina. He stopped to ask Rod where he was from. “Do you like Kosovo?” he then asked. When told it was a beautiful area, Rod replied: “Now it’s not, but it will be beautiful again.”
