Who is World Vision?
In nearly 100 countries, World Vision allows children to achieve their God-given potential by tackling the root causes of poverty and hopelessness.
For more than 50 years, World Vision, a global leader in relief and development, has passionately labored to bring progress and restore dignity to children and their communities.
How does sponsorship transform a child's life?
Child sponsorship online -- how does it work?
What is child sponsorship?
- It is a one-to-one relationship between you and your sponsored child. More than a half million sponsors in the U.S. (more than a million worldwide) enjoy this relationship. You can correspond, pray for your sponsored child, receive regular reports on their progress, even perhaps visit the child and his or her family and community.
- Sponsorship provides resources which go into a program, usually 10 to 15 years in length, custom-designed in collaboration with community leaders to address key spiritual and physical needs in the community. Programs are child-focused but also benefit non-sponsored children and families.
Why should I become a sponsor?
- Hundreds of thousands of children in impoverished communities in the developing world already have a God-given hope for a better future. All they need is for someone who believes in them, prays for them, and is willing to get involved to help them improve their circumstances, nurture that hope, and become true spiritual leaders in their communities.
- The lives of millions of people have already been dramatically impacted by World Vision child sponsorship during the past 50 years ... one life at a time. We need your help in order to extend this impact in the life of one more child!
