Tim Dearborn is associate director for faith and development for World Vision’s global partnership. In this role, Dearborn supports 100 World Vision staff members in 85 countries. This team is responsible for the spiritual development of World Vision’s 22,000 staff members worldwide, the development of programs assisting local church leaders in their ministries with the poor, and the appropriate integration of Christian witness into World Vision’s programs.

From 1998 to 2003, Dearborn served as dean of the chapel and associate professor of theology at Seattle Pacific University. Between 1996 and 1998, he served as chief of staff for the office of the World Vision’s president in the United States, where he was responsible for strategic planning and developing church partnerships. From 1992 to 1997, he taught practical and applied theology at Fuller Theological Seminary and Regent College respectively. He also served as founding executive director of the Seattle Association for Theological Education.

Dearborn is the consulting theologian for the School of Business and Economics at Seattle Pacific University and is on the board of trustees for several mission and service organizations.

Dearborn holds a Ph.D. in systematic theology from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland and a master of theology degree in missiology from Fuller Seminary School of World Mission. He also holds an M.T.S. in history of religion from Harvard University Divinity School and a bachelor’s degree in history from Whitman College.
