Rogers consults with and educates World Vision employees about safety and security issues in their work. Rogers has authored “World Vision Security Manual: Safety Awareness for Aid Workers,” which provides advice and instruction for relief workers.
Prior to joining World Vision in 1988, Rogers served for 11 years with Euro Vision (formerly Eastern European Mission). He was director of special ministries for World Vision in Eastern Europe for four years, based in Bonn, Germany. From there, he opened offices in Russia and Belarus and initiated a food aid programme for war victims in the former Yugoslavia.
Rogers has authored numerous articles about security for aid workers and has spoken on this issue at international conferences.
Rogers earned a bachelor’s degree at Taylor University and a master’s of divinity degree at Trinity International University. He has done also post-graduate studies in business administration at California State Polytechnic
University.
