||National Day of Prayer: Our Prayer Requests|
The National Day of Prayer was created by an act of Congress in 1952. Every year, the president signs a proclamation encouraging all Americans to pray on that day, which this year is May 5.
We ask that you remember in your prayers the work of World Vision and the people we serve in the United States. Motivated by our faith in Jesus, we serve the poor as a demonstration of God’s unconditional love for all people.
Our specific prayer requests:
||Our work in the U.S. brings together the assets of local communities, and especially churches and faith-based organizations. Pray that our local ministry partners will be equipped, strengthened and encouraged by World Vision’s assistance so they can be even more effective in their ministries.|
||Our Vision Youth program serves high-risk youth through programs such as mentoring and educational training. Pray for the safety of youth outreach workers who work in dangerous neighborhoods, and pray for the youth they serve.|
||World Vision operates a network of sites called The Storehouse across the country. The Storehouse distributes products to children and families in need. The products range from building supplies, clothing and personal care items, to toys and school supplies. Pray for the expansion of the building supplies project to all sites of The Storehouse so we can help provide more families with decent, affordable housing.|
Thank you for all your prayers!
