World Vision helping churches assist in hard hit areas


In the aftermath of Hurricane Ike, World Vision is delivering emergency relief supplies to the hardest-hit areas around Houston.

The Christian aid organization rolled out its first load of emergency supplies from its Dallas Storehouse this week in response to the critical need of displaced residents. An estimated 35,000 are stranded in shelters. Read more ...

First Baptist Ridgeland community center in Ridgeland, Mississippi is serving as a shelter for those who evacuated their homes due to Hurricane Gustav. World Vision is delivering supplies from the Los Angeles Storehouse to the community center.
