World Vision Poised for Response to Massive Peru Quake

Peru was hit by a strong earthquake early Wednesday night, killing and injuring hundreds of people.
All World Vision staff and sponsored children in Peru are reported safe, and the international relief agency is ready to respond in the region after an 8.0 magnitude earthquake struck Wednesday night.

“We have been in contact with our staff and the children in World Vision programs and all are reported safe,” said Caleb Meza, World Vision’s National Director for Peru. “World Vision is prepared to provide relief supplies if the government requests aid.”
