Plastic tarps are loaded onto the Illyushin before it leaves for Amman. The tarps will be used to provide shelter to some of the 60,000 refugees that are expected to come through Jordanian camps within the next three weeks.

World Vision staff load supplies onto the transport plane, which will fly the supplies from World Vision’s warehouse in Brindisi, Italy to relief staff in Amman, Jordan. The supplies will be distributed to refugees in Jordan, Syria and other countries bordering Iraq.

Relief supplies are brought into the back of the Illyushin. The plane will carry three 10-ton trucks and thousands of blankets, collapsible water containers and plastic sheets for use as temporary shelter to refugees in the countries surrounding Iraq.

The doorway to the warehouse World Vision shares with the United Nations is framed between two 10-ton transport trucks, which will travel to Amman, Jordan. The trucks will transport relief supplies around the Middle East where World Vision is preparing to respond to a possible refugee crisis in the area.
