Joseph Mettimano Vice president of advocacy Washington, D.C.
Drawing on 13 years of advocacy experience, Mettimano has testified before the U.S. Congress on child exploitation issues. He has drafted legislation, created national and global advocacy campaigns, published articles, created field programs, and has given presentations at universities and professional workshops around the world. Prior to joining World Vision, Mettimano served as the deputy director of public policy and advocacy with the U.S. Fund for UNICEF (the U.S. representative and partner of the United Nations Children’s Fund). He has served in leadership positions with a number of respected coalitions, including the ONE Campaign, the Campaign to Ban Landmines, and the Campaign to Stop the Use of Child Soldiers.
