  • Aid Workers Killed in Badghis Province
    Five staff members from the medical aid group Medicines Sans Frontiers were killed in Bagdis province in western Afghanistan Wednesday, June 2. The workers, two Afghan nationals and three European expatriates, were shot as they drove to their regional office. Read more...

    Emergency Continues as Peace Plan Moves Forward
    Kenyan president Mwai Kibaki plans to launch the final phase of the Sudanese peace process Saturday in Nairobi, reports IRIN, the United Nations international news service. The launch follows the May 26 signing of three key protocols on power sharing by the Sudanese government and the rebel group, the Sudan People's Liberation Movement/Army. Read more...
