"...This wailing and crying is eerie and unsettling isn't it? It's coming from a small woman standing outside one of the oldest Orthodox churches in the capital of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa. While she cried, she leaned against the building's front wall, her body doubled over. As is common with Ethiopian Orthodox churches, a lit candle and a colorful drawing of the Christ figure and the Virgin Mary were nestled on a ledge in front of her...." |
