The Women Of Darfur
Listen to the:
Some 200,000 people have fled fighting and bloodshed in the Darfur region of Sudan and now live in more than a dozen refugee camps in neighboring Chad. 70% of the refugees are women -- many of whom were raped by the Janjaweed militia wreaking death and destruction across Darfur. The women get food, shelter, and counseling in Chad, but now even some refugee camps are being attacked. Michael Kavanagh reports from Chad.
